Stock Market Pro: Stock Trading, Charts & Alerts App Reviews

I am only an observer of the market, though I have my retirement invested in the market. Still, I use the app to understand what is happening to my parishioners finances. This app offers me the window to follow their investments and general market involvement. I can then take into account some of their concerns as I meet with them, hear their joys and sufferings as caused by the market fluctuations. It also helps me better to forecast in some way how our parish will fare in the coming year by reading about the businesses in our area and their financial future. For example the oil and coal production companies are a big part of our economy in Western Colorado. I can list their stocks on my watch list and see how they are performing and whether my parishioners will be losing their jobs (which over 300 have).

Shows their own ad to send a link to iPhone Free! In place of stocks even in paid version. You cannot get rid of this annoying ad.

1. no place to put in my holdings to see my gains and losses 2. I put in all the stocks I own. come back the next day and only Apple is there, so not a good app for saving anything 3. not sure the point

Replicates the beautifully iPhone app from Apple, which has not been available for the iPad. Suitable for quick check, and a little digging if you notice something interesting. Launches fast. Perfect tool, in my opinion.

The standard stock app offers commodity pricing along with stock pricing. This is VERY helpful when you see how they interact together to make you money. The "pro" app doesnt allow you to be able to access commodity pricing like the basic (free) app. Thus, the title of "Less Advancement of Offerings" and a 3 out of 5 rating. Please make the commodity thing happen....

None of the charts or news will pull up on any stock accept the pre entered stocks and the only one I can add holdings to is Apple stock. I tried to contact them about problems and no response. Just use free version

I thought I would love this app, and for my U.S. Holdings it seems to work great. However, I also own Canadian stocks and it reverts the purchase price to zero after entry, which while showing a fabulous profit, dilutes the value of the app to zero too. It also does not show a total because of multiple currencies. While I am fully aware that one CAD is nowhere near the value of one USD right now, unless I am actually selling any stock and having to report capital gains or losses, I actually dont care about the equivalent foreign currency total - I have my brokerage account for that. This app should work better than it does for those of us that arent dealing with one country. If you arent going to support foreign holdings accurately then why track the share price and enable those entries in the first place. At the very least, include a disclaimer before purchase.

Stock pro free got me hooked, wanted to do more. Bought next two. Great for research, quotes real time, keeping track of own portfolio. Needs way to capture sold and figure out gains/loss realized and not. Also so terribly slow during market hours. Like 3 minutes for each action to come thru. Use real broker website during market hours.

So far it has done an excellent keeping me up-to-date with all my stocks.

Great way to keep track of my portfolio and to set up watch lists of stocks Im interested in. You get real time prices. Clicking on stock will give additional information with charts and articles.

I appreciate the clean, simple approach of this app – much better than competing apps for the casual market watcher. But its very disappointing that this app still doesnt support the iPad Pro screen resolution and split screen feature.

I like this app and how it is set up. Plenty of great info in addition to those essential stock quotes, such as the many links to news articles about the company, many of which often explain the stock price s rise or fall, projections about the stocks future performance, etc. They make it easy to add stocks to your watch list as well. I would like to see them add the ability to alphabetize lists. The app does a great job all around, and I enjoy using it.

The news section is poorly edited. Example, Kayla Nashs recent report on Frontier Comm s quarterly dividend. She says within four sentences that they will be paying $.105 and$.11 a share on the 31 st of March. Which is it ? Does she even know. Does she have an editor? Is she a real person. Many of the reports seem to be not much more than poorly researched fiction. What is up?

I love this app! Very effective for watch list and to manage current value.

I like this APP however Im frustrated that Im unable to list my holdings of EDEN (Euro) and my Mutual Funds. It clearly has to be an oversight. I have all the STOCKS version including PRO but none of them list my entire portfolio
